Founder

Zebiba Shekhia, founder of Healing Bridges, was born and raised in the East African country of Eritrea. Witnessing atrocities during the war and fleeing as a refugee herself strengthened her resolve to one day make a difference.

Zebiba has dedicated her life to helping her countrymen who are today still living in refugee camps in Eastern Sudan. She has vowed to help educate the children of the camps giving them an opportunity to advance far beyond their current situation in the camps and even beyond Eastern Sudan.
